Insight into Depict
How did I come up with the name Depict? Simple. I enjoy playing computer & console games and they require you to have a "nickname" so when I first started i wanted to choose something people would remember and some thing that would have a meaning. This is how i came about the name Depict.

1. to represent by or as if by painting; portray; delineate.
2. to represent or characterize in words; describe.
How ever, some people struggle to pronounce "Depict". So my close mates have decided I should be called "Timmy Tripper" - For several reason but mainly because (their words) "You trip people out" I am also said to have similar qualities to "Timmy" from the popular TV show South Park. Therefore I should be called "Timmy Tripper". No matter how hard I try to defend myself I am always reminded that I am a tripper. But what ever you want to call me just remember the word Depict.

How it all started..
How it all started. Well from a very young age I always had a love for electronic music. (1990's) and when in primary school I spent many nights listening to "Techno" that was played late night on radio shows. However when I came into high school my tastes changed (So did the times really) and I listened to a lot of Punk and Metal type of music.
Towards the end of my High school years I slowly became more interested in Dance music once again, and late 2007 I went and bought myself a copy Atomix Virtual Dj. I played and tinkered with songs for a good id say 2 weeks before i lost complete interest in the idea. (Typical teenager) I came back to it roughly six months later with much more success. But being a student I could never afford real decks.
I kept playing with the software until I was roughly 18 and had a half decent job. This when I saved up and got gear piece by piece. First a mixer then a CDJ 200 then finally a CDJ 400. I started practising on that.. few months later I went and sold my CDJ 200 and bought another CDJ 400.
I have now been mixing for close to 2 years and I i like to think I am getting better and better at it and that's how I got started in "DJing" but one thing you must have and I don't, have a lot of patience.
